Welcome to Junk Journal Penpals. This is a new blog for people who are interested in making junk journals and would like to engage with a Penpal with the emphasis on getting to know other like minded people across the world, swapping ideas and inspirations and sharing the surplus of ephemera or other junk journal supplies with pals who cannot access the wealth of supplies available in some places. I want this to be a friendly place and to that end no abusive language or excessive advertising will be allowed. This will ensure that Junk Journals Penpals is a welcoming place to visit, a place where the visitors and members feel safe to share the things they have made with friends in other places.

Approaches regarding Penpals should be made through private messages or e-mail. Please do not put your address on here for security reasons. Junk Journal Penpals does not keep a list of addresses of Members. Once an approach has been made and accepted Members can agree between themselves what to send. You may swap ephemera etc. but postage is to be paid by the sender, not the recipient unless otherwise agreed.
We all love getting letters by snail mail. It takes longer to do but is so well received, especially if a small gift or gifts are included. I am encouraging you to write that letter and get to know your Penpal, learning as you go along, a little or a lot about the country or area of country, that they live in. Understanding each other is important, our ways of life, how we do things and why we do things differently. A lot of conflict could be avoided if only we took the time to get to know each other properly. There is an old native American saying which goes like this: ‘Never judge a man until you have walked a mile in his moccasins.’ True, isn’t it!
